Well I compared the available cloud storage solutions going around and surprisingly I found that Microsoft OneDrive is the optimal solution for someone like me who’s looking for a storage around 200GB to 500GB.
If you take google drive you have 100GB for 1.99 USD and then the 1TB for 9.99 USD (I couldn’t find an AUD option so I’m still using the USD priced verion)
OneDrive has 100GB for 2 AUD and 200GB for 4 AUD and the 9 AUD gives 1TB and includes office 365 for free which sounds like the best bargain for me.
Dropbox has 1TB for 12.99 AUD
All of them have similar features for a regular user like me and I selected so for me OneDrive looks promising well after the comparison I waned to purchase and when I search for the Microsoft Australia pricing and click purchase I was send to a payment page where the country was selected as USA and I can’t change that. Later after googling I found a link which showed country wise links which had the correct links. I didn’t go ahead with the purchase initially as I wanted to select a plan and then came later to purchase. I forgot where I found the link and a popup came with a Tech Support gentleman and it was an utter waste of money where I ended up searching again and training them about their product.
Customer care gods never are happy with me so I get the chance to share these stories with you.
Update: now they seems to have fixed the flow in their system 🙂 happy that I could be of service to Microsoft
Cricket itself has degraded the quality of matches due to various reasons and unfortunately India is in the forefront of that;
Cheating and being biased
Having roads as pitches where it’s not adding any value to cricket.
Not behaving like gentlemen on and off the field.
Of course the ill handling of online media and social media
Let’s look at the last point only and try to elaborate more on it and not go into argument about the others. I just watched the last moments of the Ind Vs Aus match accidentally and was shocked to see the scores people have got in the last match and also during the series. Inability to bowl in good pitches seems to have lead India to make the wickets become more and more closer to roads 🙂
But the funny part is these performances were praised by every website and social media related to them. So why is this happening… simple… they are again run by Indians. So… do you get the proper information/news when you access these sites? Absolutely No. But, unfortunately there are no proper alternatives to websites like cricinfo.
So biased that you can call cricinfo = cricindia …
So even if we spread the news around there will be no alternatives, not enough coverage of matches, no mobile apps (Android, iPhone, Mobile Web, Etc.).
But this is to wake everyone up and to get you thinking in the right direction so that there will be a buzz around. May be to promote a less quality but less biased alternative which has the potential to grow…
Update: They recovered so well and are living their day-to-day lives but with the grief of losing their loved ones.
This is a picture of Dushan and his mother Shermi who are my neighbours. They are fighting for their lives in ICU at this moment after a tragic accident which happened in Mahawa, Sri Lanka on the 2nd of August. This accident has already taken away Dushan’s Father and Grand Mother.
Irrespective of what religion we belong to our thoughts put together has an energy which can do wonders. I’m writing to ask you to take one minute of your valuable time and hope, wish and pray for a speedy recovery of Dushan and Shermi
